Stephanie Matthews is an established professional fashion, beauty,
celebrity photographer, as well as emerging cinematographer.
She
currently works between Los Angeles & New York city but covers any location her clients may require of her.
Stephanie's work has appeared on the covers of New African Woman
[UK], Kouture Magazine, Munaluchi Bridal Magazine & Style-ology Magazine Int'l. with spreads
appearing in Fashizblack [France]
A passionate photojournalist and humanitarian Stephanie has
dedicated herself to serving orphans in the Democratic Republic of
Congo, village of Kamina. Her 30-day journey resulted in two celebrated
gallery exhibits, "The Power of the Human Spirit" & "Children of
Congo".
In 2008 Stephanie received a U.S. State Department grant and
travelled to Tanzania where she was a guests of the Dar es Salaam
consulate and participant of the first ever Women of Tanzania artist
exchange program.
Her current initiative is the development of “Cameras 4 Kids” an
international photojournalism/video program bridging the lives of
African and impoverished American children through film & video
projects which explore the documenting of their surroundings, story
telling, and artistic expression.
